We are not just a family “owned” business. Rauhorn Electric is a family in and of itself. That’s why employee engagement and morale is so important to us. Recently published statistics state,
“Organizations with high employee engagement
outperform those with low employee engagement by 202%.”
“80% of employees felt more engaged when their work was
consistent with the core values and mission of their organization.”
“Highly engaged business teams result in 21% greater
profitability.”
At the end of 2018, we asked all employees to bring positive feedback and suggestions for improvement to our annual meeting. The feedback was outstanding! Then, we kicked off 2019 by asking office employees to do the same for our staff meeting. Just by reading and discussing the feedback as a group, employee engagement nearly doubled from the previous staff meeting. Employees were excited to know their voices are heard. Their suggestions are put into action to make change. They were thrilled to know they are actively a part of the progression towards continuous quality improvement.
This week we are celebrating Spirit Week at Rauhorn. It’s a chance for employees to wear their #rauhornpride proudly and to connect with one another. We’ve found that one of the key ingredients in the secret sauce is not just commitment to the company, but to one another. The more employees get to know one another and care about one another, the more of a team environment we have, thus increasing the overall morale of the company.
